Downtown Area Real Estate in Qingdao

Pacific Center

Built in 1999: 2 bedroom apartment – 4000-6500 rmb/month, 3 bedroom apartment – 5000-7000 rmb/month. 4 bedroom apartment – 9000-12000 rmb/month. This group of buildings is one of the older expat addresses in Qingdao. The one reason to be here is the location. Right next to the ocean but also very close to shops and restaurants. The common areas are in decent condition, however, it can be a little bit of an effort to find a suitable property, but sometimes can be worth the effort as the prices are quite good to be centrally located.

Top International

Built in 2007: studio – 5000-6000 rmb/month, 1 bedroom apartment – 6000-7500 rmb/month, 2 bedroom apartment – 8000-11000 rmb/month. This building is right in the heart of downtown Qingdao. Directly opposite 2 major hotels as well as a 10 min walk from Shopping centers. The building consists of studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments (many with sea view) and is an excellent choice for individuals and couples. The buildings also have a couple of restaurants and banks for convenience.

Majesty Mansion

Built in 2012: studio – 6000-8000 rmb/month, 1 bedroom apartment – 8000-11000 rmb/month, 2 bedroom apartment – 12000-15000 rmb/month. This building, which is a little further on the west side of the new downtown area, is a modern apartment and office complex good for individuals and couples. A very short cab ride away from the main downtown area, many of the apartments have a wonderful sea view.

Donghai Road

Built in 2009: 2 bedroom apartment – 11000-13000 RMB/Month, 3 bedroom apartment -, 13000-17000 rmb/month, 4 bedroom apartment – 20000-30000 rmb/month. A very modern apartment building on the coastal road right in the downtown area. With excellent standardized apartments and wonderful sea views. There is also a gym with pool and a restaurant on site. The building is close to shopping, entertainment and a host of other amenities.

Capland Center

Built in 2012: studio – 5000-6000 RMB/Month, 1 bedroom apartment – 7000-11000 rmb/month 2 bedroom apartment – 12000-14000 rmb/month. Capland Center is a very new modern apartment building that is very centrally located in downtown Qingdao. Right behind it is the Aeon shopping mall which has a multitude of shops and restaurants.

University Area Real Estate in Qingdao

HaiYi MingDu

Built in 2005: 2 bedroom apartment – 5500-6500 rmb/month, 3 bedroom apartment – 7000-12000 rmb/month. This complex is a little older but still has many modern apartments for those who want to be close to the downtown area, but not too close. The complex is quite good for families and has a kindergarten on site. The community is quite well maintained and has shops and restaurants directly behind it for added convenience. Many of the apartments have open balconies and sea view.

MaiDao JiaYuan

Built in 2010: smaller 2 bedroom apartment – 3500-5000 rmb/month, larger 2 bedroom apartment – 4000-6000 rmb/month, 3 bedroom apartment – 5000-8000 rmb/month. This relatively newer complex is well located near shops and restaurants in the University Area. The apartments here are priced for budget conscious expats who want to be close to the downtown area. The apartments can be hit or miss, depending on the taste of the owner. So allow some time to look in this neighborhood.

Golden Coast

Built in 2009: 3 bedroom apartment – 8000-12000 rmb/month, 4 bedrooms apartments – 14000-17000 rmb/month. A relatively new compound for expat families as well as individuals. Very green and close to the sea. With many apartments which have sea view.

HaiXin TianXi

Built in 2013: 2 bedroom apartment – 13000-15000 rmb/month, 4 bedroom apartment – 18000-25000 rmb/month. This almost brand new community will be popular for expats in the future. However, as of now, it is still early to know. The location is quite good, with shops and restaurants nearby. As the compound is new, it is modernly decorated and very well maintained.

East Side Area Real Estate in Qingdao

Macau Garden

Built in 2004: 3 bedroom apartment – 5000-7000 rmb/month, 4 bedroom apartment – 8000-12000 rmb/month. Macau garden is a great 3 star complex for families or individuals who want to be in nice, quiet surroundings without paying a hefty price. the apartments here are individually owned and decorated and can be hit or miss. However, many of them are quite modern and have all the necessary amenities that are needed. The community also has a tennis court for residents to enjoy and a short cab ride away to the downtown area.

KaiXuan ShanZuang

Built in 2002: 2 bedroom apartment – 3000-5000 rmb/month, 3 bedroom apartment – 4000-6000 rmb/month. This very large complex is located in a quiet area and not too far from downtown. Best for those on a budget. Most apartments are quite modern, but you can also find ones that have not been lived in for many years. Will take a little effort to find a suitable place in this complex, but there will be many to choose from as the sheer number of apartments is large.

Eldo View Garden

Built in 2004: 3 bedroom apartment – 12000-14000 rmb/month, 4 bedroom apartment – 15000-20000 rmb/month, townhouse – 20000-25000 rmb/month. Wonderful place for expat families. Very green compound. Has long been quite a popular compound for expats as the surroundings are very quiet, apartments are quite large and close to the ocean  while still being only 15 mins away from downtown.

LuXin WeiYang

Built in 2004: 4 bedroom apartment apartment – 13000-16000 rmb/month. This apartment complex is quite popular among expat families who need a larger space on a smaller budget. All the apartments here a very large. Between 250 square meters and 350 square meter and all come in a duplex or triplex style. The apartments are decorated by individual owners so this compound is a place you will need some time to evaluate. However, it is in a very quiet, comfortable family environment.

HuiHai ShanZhuang

Built in 2004: 4 bedroom townhouse – 20000-25000 rmb/month, 5 bedroom townhouse – 30000-35000rmb/month, 6 bedroom villa – 40000-45000 rmb/month. An excellent choice for expat families who want to be away from the hustle and bustle. A very quiet, green environment opposite the sea. Mostly comprised of townhouses, and some villas, this compound has a clubhouse with a gym and pool as well as tennis courts on site.

Helen Garden

Built in 2005: 3 bedroom apartment – 8000-12000 rmb/month, 4 bedroom apartment – 10000-15000 rmb/month. This community is slightly older but still has a lot of charm and has quite modern apartments which mostly come with sea view. Great for expats with a slightly smaller budget, it has been quite a popular place for many years. The compound is quite well maintained and is very close to Shi Lao Ren beach where there are quite a few coffee shops and restaurants.

Surf Plaza

Built in 2005: 3 bedroom villa – 25000-35000 rmb/month, 4 bedroom villa – 30000-40000 rmb/month, 5 bedroom villa – 35000-45000 rmb/month. A compound composed of many different types of villas. A very popular place for expat families with a larger budget. Within close proximity to the international schools and directly opposite Shi Lao Ren Beach. The houses are mostly decorated individually so finding the right one can take time.
